But more recently mosquitoes that carry the Zika virus have been identified in Florida. So far, there have been more than 346 Zika cases in the United States, and these cases span as far east as New York and as far west as San Francisco.
Zika Virus Prevention
According to Dr. Anne Schuchat, deputy director at the CDC, there is an increasing effort being put forth by the CDC to fight the Zika virus. Schuchat said that the CDC’s efforts should “serve as motivation for members of Congress to pay careful attention to this top priority.”
In other words, the Zika virus is something that should be paid attention to, throughout the world.
